In a report on the use of General AI in India, Google and Research Agency Kantar says that about 31 percent of Indians have so far tried apps such as Google Gemini, Chatgpt and Deepsek. To keep it in another way, about 60 percent of these devices are not known or have not yet tried them. But in the report, which is based on the N18-City Survey of 8000 people, Google also noted that many people in India want to make AI equipment a part of their daily lives.

There are many inspiration for such desires, most responders hope that AI devices such as Gemini will help them to be more productive and more creative.

Google notes in its study that AI stimulation is high, it is still an early day to adoption. So far only 31 percent have noted Google, trying any generic AI tool. The Google-Contacry report stated that “Research also showed a strong, congenital desire to improve and excel among Indians, in which promoting majority productivity (72 percent), promoting, increasing creativity (77 percent) and using general AI equipment demanded to communicate more effectively (73 percent) in their daily lives.

On Friday, Google also showed its latest AI tool to a audience in India, highlighting strong performances of logic models such as Gemini 2.5 Pro (Experiment) and VO2, a text-to-video AI Tool.

Manish Gupta, senior director of Google Deepmind, said, “Mithun represents Google’s most state-of-the-art AI model, designed to push the boundaries, which were already unimaginable-for example, to make videos with VO2 or interact with Gemini Live.

Shaker Khosla, vice -president of marketing in Google India, said: “We are seeing that Mithun makes a difference in how he feels about his abilities, 92 percent of Gemini users feel more confident in their daily lives.”

The Google report states that in India, most people are interested in using AI to increase personal efficiency. Of the 8000 respondents, 72 percent expressed the need to be more productive in their daily lives with the help of AI. At the same time, about 77 percent wanted to be more creative and intended 73 percent more effectively.

An interesting bit that Google found that people were expecting not only to use AI at work, but also for personal tasks. The report said that 76 percent of the defendants expected to save time on everyday tasks such as planning everyday tasks or managing budget with AI tools, while 84 percent wanted 84 percent to help children with everyday tasks to help children with everyday tasks or help children with homework or trying dishes.
