Google says that only 31 percent in India have tried General AI Tools, most want AI to help them to make them more creative

In a report on the use of General AI in India, Google and Research Agency Kantar says that about 31 percent of Indians have so far tried apps such as Google Gemini, Chatgpt and Deepsek. But in the report, which is based on the N18-City Survey of 8000 people, Google also noted that many people in India want to make AI equipment a part of their daily lives.

Manish Gupta, senior director of Google Deepmind, said, “Mithun represents Google’s most state-of-the-art AI model, designed to push the boundaries, which were already unimaginable-for example, to make videos with VO2 or interact with Gemini Live.
Shaker Khosla, vice -president of marketing in Google India, said: “We are seeing that Mithun makes a difference in how he feels about his abilities, 92 percent of Gemini users feel more confident in their daily lives.”
The Google report states that in India, most people are interested in using AI to increase personal efficiency. Of the 8000 respondents, 72 percent expressed the need to be more productive in their daily lives with the help of AI. At the same time, about 77 percent wanted to be more creative and intended 73 percent more effectively.
An interesting bit that Google found that people were expecting not only to use AI at work, but also for personal tasks. The report said that 76 percent of the defendants expected to save time on everyday tasks such as planning everyday tasks or managing budget with AI tools, while 84 percent wanted 84 percent to help children with everyday tasks to help children with everyday tasks or help children with homework or trying dishes.
