After a lot of anticipation, Google has finally launched its fifth model in the Pixel 9 series – Google Pixel 9A. Unlike the rest of the series, the “A” version is designed to offer high-end features in the more affordable package. For Rs 49,999, Google Pixel 9A sports a smooth new design and is powered by Google’s custom-made tensor G4 processor. It is noteworthy that even after the lowest price in the Google Pixel 9 series, Pixel 9A has the same processor as others. While it looks fine on paper, the competition is not far behind. Apple, launched on 28 February 2025, comes in direct competition with the newly launched Google Pixel 9A, launched. The price of iPhone 16E starts at Rs 59,900. The most important factor when comparing is the price limit of the phone. Google Pixel 9A comes in a version – 256GB- and it is priced at Rs 49,999. The iPhone 16E comes in three configurations. The price of 128GB is Rs 59,900, the price of 256GB storage model will be Rs 69,900, while the 512GB storage model costs Rs 89,900.
Apple’s budget can spend more than the iPhone Google’s Pixel 9A, but later limits your choice by not giving any flexibility in storage options.

Under the hood, Pixel 9A is powered by Google’s latest tensor G4 chipset, which is combined with Titan M2 Safety Cum-Processor for increased safety. This is the same processor that is used in the major variants of the Pixel 9 series. In terms of software, Pixel 9A runs the latest Android operating system and is packed with AI-operated features of Google, including Gemini AI and popular Google accessories.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16E has an A18 chip 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU. The device also includes a 16-core neural engine designed to handle machine learning tasks more efficiently. According to Apple, the AI can process the AI model six times faster than the nerve engine A13.
The iPhone 16E also supports Apple Intelligent, a suit of AI-driven features. This includes equipment such as genmoji, writing equipment and integration with chatgpt.

While Apple does not reveal the size of the battery, Apple claims that the iPhone 16E has a larger battery than all 6.1 inch iPhones. This means that the iPhone 16e packs larger battery than the iPhone 16. According to the latest benchmark tests mentioned by Ookla, Apple’s C1 modem is one of the most prominent features. Thanks to the C1 modem, Apple claims that C1 is the most power-skilled modem used in an iPhone, and the iPhone 16e, in fact, provides long battery life compared to the iPhone 16.
The iPhone 16E supports 20W charging, which you have to buy separately. Google Charger-cum is also going, but the 5,100mAh battery supports 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging speed.

The iPhone 16E has a 6.1 -inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, which focuses on Apple on efficiency rather than high fresh rates. In contrast, Google has equipped the Pixel 9A with a large 6.3-inch actua poled display, with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 2700 NITS peak gloss for better outdoor visibility.
