Introduction
The Pixel 10a is the latest smartphone in Google’s affordable A-series. This year’s release is a bit strange, as it seems like the company has essentially re-released last year’s Pixel 9a under a different name.

Calling both phones “identical” would be a big mistake. Both phones have similar hardware right down to chipset, battery, display and cameras, and also basically have the same design. So what’s really new this year?
To be honest, not much. On the surface, the design has been beefed up a bit and now has a completely flat back. The front glass has been updated for the decade, and there are some new colors with matching cases. The rest are some software features borrowed from other Pixel 10 phones.

Is that something worth spending money on? Hey, is this even something worth spending time reading? Well, there’s only one way to find out.
unbox
The Pixel 10a comes in very minimalist packaging that is made entirely of paper. Inside, the only things worth noting are the phone itself and a 2.0 spec USB-C to USB-C cable.
