Listen to the story

Google CEO Sundar Pichai is allegedly to integrate Mithun AI into iPhone in conversation with Apple CEO Tim Cook. According to a report by BloombergPichai is hoping to close the deal by mid -2025. Allegedly, the CEO of Google shared this in court during the ongoing Google vs. US Department of Justice Search Monopoly Antitance Trial. If this is true and comes through the deal, it may mean that when iOS 19 rolls later this year, it can come with Gemini AI Built-in.
Integrated Gemini in the iPhone means that when you activate Siri, you can choose it to be operated by Gemini AI. Currently when you interact with Apple Intelligence, similarly, some questions are addressed by CHATGPT. iPhones have offered the underlying CHATGPT support since iOS 18.2. This means that after seeking permission from a user, Siri now shows reactions from Chatgpt in that case when it cannot automatically answer a query. Right now, like a chatgpt writing tool, some apple also provides strength to intelligence features. Visual intelligence also directs you to chat for some questions.
Gemini AI is integrated into iPhones, this would mean that users will have an option between using Gemini or chat, say, use the writing equipment feature. The Gemini app is already available on iPhones, but this Google and Apple Deal will mean that the AI system will be integrated into your phone and you will be able to use AI Chatbot without downloading the app.
Since the launch of Apple Intelligence, the company has often talked about offering several options for AI chatbots. The deal will be a step towards that effort. Other reports have also come in the past which have suggested that a Gemini AI integration may come soon in the iPhone. Earlier this year, A Marasters The report claimed that it saw a potential apple intelligence model option in iOS 18.4 beta as “Google” listed.
Right now, Apple is doing everything to keep Siri relevant. A report last month revealed that the company has shifted its Siri engineers to the Mike Rockwell team, which leads the software development for the Vision Pro headset. Apple is allegedly hoping that Rockwell’s team will accelerate Siri’s reforms. A lot of discussion and reporting has been done around a major Siri overhaul – some have also called it with new AI abilities for Siri 2.0 -Digital Assistant. However, the makeover shows a lot of delay.
