Glen Powell met his lookalike contest winner Maxwell Brownstein at the Golden Globes 2025, where the actor attended with his mother. As soon as the Twisters star met his look-alike, he excitedly clicked a picture with Maxwell and revealed that he is happy to finally have a brother. Braunstein won the competition held in Texas on November 24.
Powell was posing for the cameras on the red carpet when he caught sight of his look-alike. Within moments, the actor ran towards her and the two hugged each other while chatting for a while. In a video going viral on the internet, the Top Gun: Maverick star said, “Oh, look who’s here!” Before happily walking towards Braunstein.
As far as attire is concerned, Powell opted for a sleek black suit and chains, while the lookalike was also seen in a white shirt and a blue blazer. The latter also said that their sunglasses were very similar to each other.
Meanwhile, Powell’s mother, Cindy Powell, who was re-introduced to the contest winner, congratulated Brownstein at the event. It was the Anybody But You actor’s mother who declared Maxwell the winner of the competition. As the three chatted, Braunstein told the Hit Man star, “Thankful your mom thinks I’m like you.”

Later in his interview with the media portal, Powell spoke about his look-alike and said, “What a nice guy, so much fun. He’s part of the family now. I’ve finally got a brother!”
In addition to Bronstein, Timothée Chalamet’s lookalike contest winner Miles Mitchell also appeared at the Golden Globes and posed for a photo with Powell’s doppelganger. The two also held a sign that read, “I won a lookalike contest and now I’m at the Golden Globes.”
On the work front, the past year has been fruitful for Glen Powell. The actor appeared in two major films, Hit Man and Twisters. As far as 2025 is concerned, the movie star has a plate full of projects, and fans are waiting for Powell to be on screen again.
