Since the release of Game Changer on January 10, an HD pirated version has reportedly been circulating online. Screenshots of the film being telecast on local cable channels and buses have surfaced on social media. Producer Srinivas Kumar, also known as SKN, expressed his disappointment over the violation and condemned the illegal activity and its detrimental impact on the film industry.

Ram Charan’s Sankranthi release, Game Changer directed by Shankar has already become a victim of piracy. Producer SKN (Srinivas Kumar) shared an image of the pirated print being aired on local cable channels and buses. “This is unacceptable,” he wrote. The telecast of a film released four-five days ago on local cable channels and buses raises serious concerns.

Underlining the impact of such illegal actions, he said, “Cinema is not just about heroes, directors or producers – it is the result of 3-4 years of hard work, dedication and dreams of thousands of people. ” The producer pointed to the serious consequences for distributors and exhibitors whose livelihoods depend on the success of these films, stressing that piracy jeopardizes their efforts and undermines the future of the film industry. .

The Game Changer team has filed a complaint with the cyber crime cell, alleging that 45 people were behind the theft. These persons had allegedly tried to extort money from the producers and threatened to leak the film if their demands were not met.

When the producers refused, plot details were shared online ahead of the film’s release, following which the HD version was leaked on platforms such as Telegram. The producers are working with authorities to investigate the leak and determine whether the group was part of a larger network.

Despite the piracy issue, Game Changer has consistently performed well at the box office and has grossed Rs 106.15 crore within five days of its release. The film, directed by Shankar, continues to garner attention, although it has received mixed reviews.
