Several celebrities were present on the first day of India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024. From Tripti Dimri to Kartik Aaryan, several Bollywood celebrities attended the event.
Various Bollywood celebrities such as Richa Chadha, Kiran Rao, Kartik Aaryan, Tripti Dimri and Guneet Monga attended the first day of India Today Conclave Mumbai 2024.

Richa Chadha, producer of Girls Will Be Girls, talks about the importance and beauty of female friendship and how women in the Hindi film industry have changed the landscape.

Kiran Rao, whose film Missing Ladies has been sent to the Oscars 2025, highlighted the importance of her film, which depicts two girls struggling for independence, opportunity and voice. Rao also shared that she had taken a break from directing to devote time to motherhood, saying, “A lot of my time went into being a mother, and I was very satisfied being a mother.”

Animal actor Tripti Dimri was the first guest on day one of India Today Mumbai Conclave. She spoke in a session titled Struggles to Stardom: The Untold Story of My Bollywood Breakthrough. Tripti talked about the love she is receiving from the audience, why she decided to work in Animal and whether she would call any filmmaker to ask for work.

Guneet Monga, producer of the Oscar-winning film The Elephant Whisperers, emphasized the significant effort required to achieve success. She stressed the important role of a good American distributor for foreign films. “We have to understand that these American awards depend a lot on American distribution and now, there is a system that has been in place for 97 years,” Monga said.

Actor Kartik Aaryan, who plays Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion, revealed how motivating and inspiring it was for him to play the character on screen. Murlikant Petkar is India’s first Paralympic gold medalist in swimming.
