Frankstein’s team more emotional than 13 -minute standing ovation at Venice Film Festival
Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s film ‘Frankstein’ won a 13 -minute ovation at Venice International Film Festival 2025. The film’s lead, Oscar Isaac and Jacob Alardi became emotional.

Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankstein’ received an ovity to stand 13 minutes at the ongoing Venice International Film Festival 2025 in Lido.
The stars of the film, Oscar Isaac, were taken into tears as the audience’s applause echoes via the hall, as his persecuted composition as notorious scientist and Jacob Alfardi.
‘Frankstein’ received a huge reception In Venice, where it is dying for the iconic golden lion. The film competes with the new works of Beni Safi, Jim Jarmush, Catherine Biglo and Noah Bombach along with this year’s jury with Alexander Payne, director of Holdover.

The Gothic Science-Fi Drama, for the prestigious Golden Lion at the Festival, Remagins 1818 Horror Classic of Mary Shelley. It tells the story of a genius scientist that creates a demonic existence, establishing a series of events in motion that leads to their collapse. With a 149 -minute runtime and a budget of Rs 120 million, the film is set to emerge as a strong award contenders for Netflix.
In addition to the two leads, members of other artists also attended the Red Carpet, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jessica Williams, Jessie Williams and Sophia Carson.
‘Frankstein’ is set to release in theaters on Netflix on 17 October and 7 November.
