Pressure cookers have made our lives simpler than ever. They speed up the cooking process, saving a lot of time in the kitchen. After all, who likes to stand for long periods while cooking? Although this kitchen appliance is highly valuable, there are times when it does not function properly. A common problem that many people face while using a pressure cooker is the gasket becoming loose. You may be in the middle of cooking and suddenly the pressure doesn’t build up. We understand how annoying this can be, especially if you have guests waiting. But don’t panic – we have a simple solution for you. Recently, we came across a genius hack on Instagram that shows how you can fix this problem in minutes.
The video of the hack has been shared by digital creator Deepti Kapoor. In the clip, she shows how to fix a loose pressure cooker gasket in minutes. So what is the solution? This is simple! All you have to do is remove the lid of the pressure cooker and gently remove the gasket. Then, dip it in a bowl of water, followed by a plate full of whole wheat flour. Put the lid back on, and you’ll find that it fits perfectly into the pressure cooker. The post’s caption reads, “Fix loose pressure cooker rubber.”
