After JK Rowling’s seven-novel series, Harry Potter, gained popularity among avid readers, it was translated into eight full-length films. Although the novels were published from 1997 to 2007, it remains relevant even in recent times. So, HBO decided to bring it to the small screen with a book-to-screen translation for its upcoming TV series. First look of Harry Potter TV series released
Even though JK Rowling’s Harry Potter novels and the film adaptations of the books became immensely popular, fans still debate which offered the better experience. While that’s happening, the seven-novel series is now being adapted into a television series. Recently, the makers have increased the excitement of the fans by releasing the first look of the show.
The poster shows the main character Harry Potter on the Hogwarts Quidditch grounds. The young boy can be seen wearing the iconic number 7 cloak representing his house, Gryffindor. The player can be seen holding his magic broom as he follows the spectators towards the field. The poster also shows the house flags of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff flown on the stands. In the caption, the makers also mentioned ‘tomorrow’, possibly hinting towards the trailer release on March 25, 2026.

When and where to watch the Harry Potter TV series
It doesn’t matter how many times fans have watched the eight-part movie or read the seven novels, the excitement of watching the TV show is at an all-time high. While the stage is set, reports suggest that audiences will have to wait a little longer until late 2026 or early 2027 to relive the imaginary world created by the iconic writer and producer.
According to the Economic Times, the show is being developed by HBO Originals and will be available exclusively on the Max streaming platform (formerly HBO Max).
As far as the cast goes, Dominic McLaughlin will play 11-year-old Harry Potter, while Alastair Stout will play his best friend Ron Weasley. She will be joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and John Lithgow as Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore.
