Film body demands intervention from CM Fadnavis after firing at Rohit Shetty’s Juhu house
Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) has condemned the firing incident at Rohit Shetty’s residence. The film organization has also sought intervention from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding the matter.

The Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) has condemned the firing incident outside the residence of filmmaker Rohit Shetty. IFTDA President Ashok Pandit also praised the prompt action taken by Mumbai Police regarding the case in a video.
IFTDA wrote in its letter, “Subject: Firing incident at the residence of renowned film producer Shri Rohit Shetty… Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) strongly condemns the firing incident that took place this morning at the residence of renowned film producer Shri Rohit Shetty located in Juhu.”
The latter further reads, “The entire film fraternity is deeply shocked and concerned about the safety and well-being of one of the most respected and distinguished filmmakers of the Indian entertainment industry. Such incidents create an environment of fear and insecurity, which is unacceptable. We appeal to our Honorable Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji to personally look into this matter, as this serious incident should not shock the ethics and confidence of the entertainment industry.”
The latter concluded, “We are confident that the efficient Mumbai Police will take prompt and strict action, identify the culprits as soon as possible and register a case against them, and ensure complete protection to Mr. Rohit Shetty and his family. IFTDA stands firmly with Mr. Rohit Shetty and his entire family during this difficult time and assures them of our full support and solidarity. According to people present at the spot, four rounds of bullets were heard outside Shetty’s house, after which police and security agencies took swift action. City police, zonal units and senior crime branch officials immediately reached the spot.
After the recent firing incident at his residence, Rohit Shetty has canceled all his plans for the next two days. He has also asked close friends not to visit him for the next 48 hours.
