What is Rab?
Raab is an indigenous, porridge-like drink, traditionally drunk during winter. Ask your grandma or grandpa, and they’ll tell you how it was a useful remedy for treating colds, coughs, and sore throats. The robe is not only extremely comfortable but can also be made from a variety of materials. Traditionally, Raab is prepared from a mixture of whole wheat flour (atta), ghee, spices and jaggery. Nowadays, you will find other variations, like bajra ki raab and gond ki raab. In terms of texture, raab is thick and creamy – just like hot porridge.
Why is flour and gum paste good for immunity?
- It has antibacterial properties: Gum, also known as edible gum, is prized for its antibacterial properties. Consuming this raab regularly can help prevent the growth of harmful bacteria, thereby ensuring that you do not fall sick frequently.
- Rich in Antioxidants: According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), gum is also rich in antioxidants. It is important to include antioxidant-rich foods in your diet to boost immunity, and this gond ki raab provides just that. It can help your body fight infections effectively.
- Rich in essential vitamins: Both gum and flour are rich in essential nutrients, making them great for strengthening the immune system. The gum contains high amounts of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, while the flour is a good source of vitamin B, which helps with energy production and overall health.
