Is fig jam healthy?

Definitely! Fig jam is rich in fiber, antioxidants and essential vitamins. The best part? It’s made from only fresh, whole ingredients – no preservatives or additives here. This makes it a great, healthy choice for kids and families who want a natural, sweet taste. Figs are rich in potassium, calcium, and iron, making it a perfect, nutritious addition to your morning routine or snack time!

How can you make fig jam more nutritious?

This jam is already healthy enough, but you can take it up a notch! For a fiber boost, add some chia seeds, or a teaspoon of flax seeds for omega-3s. Want a little taste of flavor? Add ginger juice to the jam to give it some anti-inflammatory benefits. And for added crunch, add some chopped nuts to make it even more delicious!

How to make Anjeer Bread Spread Fig Jam Recipe

Making your own fig bread spread at home is very easy! This recipe comes from Instagram creator Nitya Hegde. Here’s how to make it:

1. Prepare the figs:

Take 7-8 fresh figs, wash them and let them dry. Once they are dry, cut them into four pieces. The finer you cut the figs, the faster they will cook.

2. Cook the figs:

Heat a pan on medium flame and add chopped figs, lemon, jaggery and a pinch of cinnamon. Stir well and let everything cook until soft. Continue cooking until it thickens into a delicious jam – or until it reaches your preferred consistency. Don’t forget to taste it before adding any other ingredients!

3. Store it:

Once your jam is ready, let it cool slightly, then pour it into an airtight container. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 20 days, or freeze it for up to three months. Enjoy it on chapattis, paranthas, or your morning toast!
