Sonu Sood’s directorial debut Fateh, starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in lead roles, failed at the box office. Despite the producers making BOGO offers, the audience rejected the stylish action drama outright.
Fateh earned Rs 75 lakh on the sixth day; aims for a destructive end
Backed by Zee Studios, Fateh could not win over the hearts of the audience and met with average word-of-mouth. This powerful action film earned Rs 2 crore on the first day, but the film could not do much at the box office.
The film earned Rs 6 crore in its first week with the help of self-pumping. Furthermore, the film did not gain any momentum on weekdays and including Monday and Tuesday (Makar Sankranti holiday), the film collected Rs 1.60 crore. According to estimates, another Rs 75 lakh was added to its earnings on the sixth day, taking the total earnings at the Indian box office to Rs 8.35 crore.
It is expected to end its first week earning Rs 9 crore. Additionally, it may get some benefit from Cinema Lovers’ Day on January 17. However, this is very unlikely as the film did not find any audiences on its opening day, when the makers had fixed the ticket prices at just Rs 99.
Sonu Sood’s film is aiming to earn around Rs 12 crore at the domestic box office.
