Acknowledging the challenges faced by cricketers, Farhan said: “Yes, the game can be brutal, and you would be hard-pressed to name a cricketer who has not gone through a bad phase. We have seen great batsmen and bowlers Struggles for form… Many times we have secretly wished that he would take a break, find his form in domestic cricket or in the nets and then make a comeback.
Farhan praised Rohit for willingly prioritizing the team’s success over his individual performance, a decision he believes deserves appreciation, not criticism. He commented, “Now here is a man who is valuing his team’s chances of victory before they can find form, and instead of being appreciated for his selflessness, the majority are looking down on him.”
He further encouraged Rohit, saying, “You are a superstar. You know what you are doing, and I know you won’t let negativity get to you… just thank you for showing that to the world.” Want to say that putting the team before you individual is a tough job and only the strongest mind and heart can make it as a great leader.”

Rohit Sharma’s decision to keep himself out of the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Sydney was both praised and criticized.
The move, which came amid the turmoil surrounding the dressing room leak, was described by star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant as an emotional but selfless act. Pant praised Rohit as “a true leader” for prioritizing the team’s interests over personal glory, allowing Jasprit Bumrah to step in as captain. Even during the toss of the Sydney Test, Bumrah described Rohit Sharma as ‘selfless’. This choice underlined Rohit’s commitment to team dynamics, even during high-stakes moments in international cricket.
