Fairphone announced its latest permanent smartphone with Fairphone 6 aka the Fairphone (General 6). It brings some remarkable upgrades on its predecessor including a Snapdragon 7S General 3 chipset, a large 4,415mAh battery and a new accessory system
It is still a phone that is designed to last. Fairphone 6 is easy to repair as usual, supplying spare parts and video tutorials on how to replace all major components of the company. Fairphone 6 is e-waste neutral, assembled in factories with fair labor conditions and claims an excellent repair rating from the new energy efficiency label of the European Union. Fairphone is offering a five -year warranty and eight -year software support.
For glasses, Fairphone 6 is built around 6.31-inch Ltpo OLED with FHD+ resolution and 10–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel is preserved by the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and has a 1,400 nits of peak brightness and a 32MP front-facing camera.
The small screen helped the fairphone 6 shed 19 grams of weight compared to the Fairphone 5 and is also low and narrow. Fairphone 6 is designed from a matte composite body, and has an IP55 ingrand protection and is now resistant to 1.5 meters.
This year there are new bits items that can be attached to the phone. You will need to extract two screws and then you can attach a card holder, cord or finger loop.
New for this year is also a dedicated yellow switch on the side that turns on moments – a digital detox mode where UI replaces monochrome and you have access to only five of your required applications.

In other places, Fairphone 6 gets a 50MP main cam that is armed with a 13MP ultravide lens with 1/1.56 “Sony Litia 700C sensor and OIS.
There is a single RAM/storage trim with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB storage, which is now carrying UFS 3.1 speed. The storage is expandable through the microSDXC slot. The new 4,415mAh battery supports 30W wired charging speed.
The software department is also interesting, as Fairphone 6 comes with two options. “Regular” Fairphone 6 gave shoes to a near-stock Android 15, but you can also choose for the “D-GOOGLD” version running on /E /OS. The latter is still based on the Android Open-SOS Project (AOSP), but it leaves Google apps and services for privacy-conscious users.
