Apple has cut iPhone prices in India. Apple has reduced prices of iPhones made in India by 3-4 per cent, following the reduction in import duty on components from 20 per cent to 15 per cent, as announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Although Apple is yet to officially announce it or show the new prices on its India website, India Today Tech has learnt that the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE in India are being cut by Rs 300 for some models and up to Rs 6,000 for others. Notably, this is the first time Apple has reduced the price of an existing Pro model in the Indian market.

Meanwhile, according to a report by Moneycontrol, Apple is also planning to manufacture the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models in India for the first time. Currently, Apple only manufactures the iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE in India. The tech giant does not manufacture the Pro model in India right now. In 2023, Apple sold out the iPhone 15 units manufactured in India on the very first day of global sales. Initially, only the base model of the iPhone 15 was manufactured in India, but eventually local production of the iPhone 15 Plus also began, managed by Pegatron.

With the price cuts, which will soon start reflecting on the Apple India website and other online and offline retailers, the India-made iPhones, including the iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone 15, will see a price cut of around Rs 300, while the iPhone SE will be cheaper by Rs 2,300. Meanwhile, the Pro and Pro Max models will see a price cut between Rs 5,100 and Rs 6,000.

This means that the iPhone SE, which was earlier priced at Rs 49,900, is now priced at Rs 49,600. The price of the iPhone 13 has come down from Rs 59,900 to Rs 57,600, that is, there has been a reduction of Rs 2,300.

Moving on in the lineup, the iPhone 14, which was originally priced at Rs 69,900, is now available at Rs 69,600, representing a cut of Rs 300. The iPhone 14 Plus also follows the same trend, with its price coming down from Rs 79,900 to Rs 79,600, again representing a reduction of Rs 300.

The price of the recently launched iPhone 15 series has also been changed. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus started at Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900 respectively, but now they are priced at Rs 79,600 and Rs 89,600. This small change of Rs 300 for each model can make a big difference for potential buyers considering the latest iPhone models.

For those interested in the high-end models, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have also received a price cut. The iPhone 15 Pro, which was previously priced at Rs 1,34,900, is now available at Rs 1,29,800, representing a further reduction of Rs 5,100. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has come down from Rs 1,59,900 to Rs 1,54,000, representing a cut of Rs 5,900.
