Young actor Krish Rao: The Untold Story of Jalianwala Bagh, who played Pargat Singh in Kesari chapter 2, opened in a special conversation with us as to why he was unable to watch his own film in theaters. Currently at the age of 16, Krish explained, “In fact, as it (Kesari 2) is an A-Retted film, so … my parents have seen it, but I did not get a chance.”
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India gives ‘A’ certificate to films, which means strict to adult audiences, usually 18 years and older. Such a rating usually consists of “mature themes, strong language, acute violence or clear views that are not considered suitable for young audiences”. Since Kesari Chapter 2 received a certification, Krish is being reduced, so could not legally watch his first film on the big screen.
Despite not being able to experience his performance in theaters, Krishna gave his time to work on the project, especially with Akshay Kumar. Talking to Pinkvilla, he shared, “It feels great, it’s my dream to work with me, I think this is my dream true.”

Krishi also spoke to Bollywood Hungma about his experience while filming Kesari 2. While depicting its first day on a major film set, he called it “a tornado of emotions”. “On the first day, I was a mixture of everything: full of nervousness, happiness, enthusiasm. Just felt like a dream to step on that set,” he said. Although it was his first big-bound Hindi film, Krish felt a quick relationship for the project and Pargat Singh’s character.
One of the main attraction of his experience was the support received from Akshay Kumar on the set. Krrish revealed, “Before the shoot, I always heard how fun, humble and down-to-Akshay sir, and feel that it was surprising for the first time. What was really stopped with me that he shoots every day every day, and the next day, he would come to me and praise my performance.”
In the same interview, Kris further shared that he also did intensive action training at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai, which for the preparation of dramatic sequences showing tragic incidents in Jalianwala Bagh. Shooting at historical places like Dehradun and Delhi added authenticity to the project, although Rao mentioned that due to tight shooting schedule, he did not get much time to detect cities.
Kesari Chapter 2: The untold story of Jalianwala Bagh serves as a powerful follower for the 2019 film Kesari. While the first installment focused on the battle of Sargari, the sequel to focus on the tragic events of Jaliyanwala Bagh massacre. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film in Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Pandey starred in decisive roles.
