Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahriya ahead of their upcoming release, Sky Force sat down with us for an exclusive chat. During the conversation, Kumar remembered how his role in Jaani Dushman was extended without any planning. He also reacted to his famous ‘sister got scared’ meme.
During an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar remembered his “proper cult film” Jaani Dushman.
Sharing an interesting anecdote, he said, “In that movie Armaan Kohli kills me. Well, he is playing the character of a snake and he kills me and then I die. I was on par-day and I wanted to buy a flat, so I went to the director (this is how I went to the director) and I told him sir, my work is over now. you look tense Hain (My work is done. He said yes, but you look tense)”.
Kumar further added, “I came to know that an actor’s date was not available so I said paaji main aa jaaoon wapas (An actor’s date was not available, so I asked him can I come back)?”

But Kohli replied, “Oh tu te mar gaya aan (But you died)” He further added, “After 5 minutes he thought, he says ‘Akshay baat sun tereko main koma mein kar karta, tu back aa Go’ ‘I’ll show you in a coma, come back’)”
“And you watch the movie they find out I’m in a coma, I’m not dead, and then I wake up and then fight him. So, 5 days again I fought so I got paid for 5 more days, So he just added, “Dear, how come I have such a big role in Dushman.”
Apart from this, he also reacted to his popular ‘sister scared’ meme from Bhagam Bhaag. The Sky Force actor quickly admitted, “You can’t write this, okay. You can’t do this.”
Revealing the inspiration behind sharing the dialogue, he said, “Actually this friend of mine did this at a wedding, he tried to grab a girl and tried to flirt with her, and she screamed and he screamed. ..Sister-in-law got scared, sister-in-law got scared.” So this was a scene that happened and turned into Behen Dar Gayi.”
Sky Force is releasing on 24 January 2025.
