Lucas Bravo, who is popular for playing Gabriel in the Netflix show Emily in Paris, revealed that his fans are not liking his long hair. The actor sported a unique hairstyle on the premiere of season 4, which dropped on the streaming platform on August 15.

In a conversation with People magazine, the actor shared the audience’s reaction to his new look. Bravo shared that while he cleans up well for his character in the series, in real life, he likes to grow things out. He is finally more than just playing Gabriel on screen.

Speaking to an entertainment portal, the actor revealed that the changes are upsetting fans. “I think every time I try to be myself and let things grow, people don’t really want me to look like anyone else other than Gabriel,” Bravo shared.

He further added, “But I don’t really go for the clean-shaven shortcut look; I like to let things grow out.” The Ticket to Paradise star also clarified that his long hair is for his upcoming project, which is set to release on HBO.

Giving a hint about his new role, the actor said, “I’m shooting Dangerous Liaisons for HBO, and it’s going to be sword fighting, horseback riding, and a beautiful mustache and long hair.” Meanwhile, in Emily in Paris, Bravo is once again wearing his chef coat in a Parisian restaurant.

The drama will ramp up even more in Season 4 of the show as Emily, played by Lily Collins, once again embarks on an adventure to make her mark in the fashion business while also trying to figure out her love life.

Aside from his professional life, the French actor also recalled surviving an earthquake. His co-star, Ashley Park, was in the interview room with Bravo. “That was an earthquake,” Lucas revealed. Park quickly quipped, “I thought you were kicking my chair this whole time.” The actor then reiterated, “Yeah, there’s an earthquake… It’s still shaking. I want to look out the window.”

For the Netflix show, Bravo has been consistently popular since season 1. With the trailer release of the latest season, it will be interesting to see how Gabriel separates himself from Camille and his affection for Emily. The series is based on Collins’ character who leaves Chicago for Paris as a marketing executive.

The show’s synopsis is, “Chicago marketing executive Emily Cooper is hired to provide an American perspective at a Paris-based marketing firm.”

The first part of Emily in Paris Season 4 is out now on Netflix, and the second part will release on September 12.
