Considering how short this series is, the focus on the second lead can be frustrating at times, but the simple and charming personalities of the lead pair keep you hooked. The writing doesn’t waste too much time on melodrama but incorporates light-hearted moments to make you feel whole and sweet.
Despite the length, the love story has enough conflict, including a disgruntled mother, to make you cheer for the couple. However, the overall arc of the lead characters feels rushed and at times too good to be true. Perhaps an insight into their lives as adults before meeting each other would have helped understand their characteristics a little better.
Still, Jong-hyeop and So-hyun make up for the limitations of the writing with their effortless friendship on screen. They have a charismatic presence that connects with the audience instantly.
The OST is sweet, if not particularly memorable. The camera work is soft-focused, which is in keeping with the overall theme of the K-drama.
