However, in a follow -up notice, the organization stated that it accidentally classified the vehicle as an asteroid.
“The next day it was indicated that the Class An artificial object 2018-017A matches the Falcon Heavy upper stage with Tesla Roadster. The designation 2018 CN41 is being removed and it is abandoned,” read the notice.
Meanwhile, a team of Wheresroadster.com has worked that the Red Sports car will have a close encounter with Earth in 2091 when it would come within a few hundred thousand kilometers of the planet where it was built.
In particular, Starman and Elon Musk’s roster was launched in space on 6 February 2018.
