Drishyam 3: Mohanlal returns in crime drama thriller, teaser out on April 29

Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is scheduled to release in theaters on May 21, 2026, coinciding with Laleton’s 66th birthday. The makers have now confirmed the release date and time of the teaser.

In a recent social media post, Mohanlal It was confirmed that the teaser of the film will be released on April 29, 2026. The glimpse will be unveiled on Wednesday at 5 pm.

Sharing the update, the team also released an interesting poster which shows Georgekutty holding farming equipment.

scene 3 The upcoming installment of the crime thriller franchise is directed by Jeethu Joseph. Moola Drishyam is the story of Georgekutty, a middle-class man who lives a simple life with his wife and daughters.

Their lives take a drastic turn when Georgekutty and his family come under suspicion after IG Geeta Prabhakar’s son Varun Prabhakar goes missing. With several clues pointing towards Georgekutty’s involvement, the film traces the truth and how the family conducts an intensive investigation.

Released in 2021, Drishyam 2 continued the story by exploring new dimensions of the story. With the third installment, the franchise is expected to highlight another chapter of the family’s life.

Apart from Mohanlal, the third film will see others including Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopi and Siddique reprising their previous roles. Initially, the film was scheduled to release on April 2, 2026, but it was later postponed to coincide with Laleton’s birthday this year.

The Hindi remake, also titled Drishyam 3 and starring Ajay Devgan, is set to release on October 2, 2026.

Mohanlal’s work front

Mohanlal will next be seen in Patriot with Mammootty. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the espionage action thriller is scheduled to release on May 1, 2026.

Apart from the two superstars, the film stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Darshan Rajendran, Revathi, Rajeev Menon and others in lead roles.

Looking ahead, Lleyton will headline athimnoharamDirected by Tharun Murthy. The film is touted to be a police action-comedy, in which Meera Jasmine will play the co-lead role. Apart from this, the actor is also expected to appear in cameo roles in Khalifa, Kathanar, Jailer 2 and Thudakkam.
