Amidst the Don 3 controversy, Poonam Dhillon called Ranveer Singh an impartial person.

President of Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) Poonam Dhillon has spoken in support of Ranveer Singh. When FWICE issued a non-cooperation order against the actor, CINTAA stood by him and Dhillon has now praised his professional approach.

In an interview with Free Press Journal, Dhillon said that it was appropriate for Singh to offer Rs 10 crore in compensation and issue an apology after he left the project. He also supported actors’ broader right to have a role in creative decisions, arguing that lead actors are entitled to be involved in script and casting discussions because they ultimately bear the brunt of audience reaction if a film fails to connect.

asked about Dhurandhar: Revenge On the reported offer of compensation following the actor’s exit, Dhillon said, “Now, look, the details of it we don’t know, but we do know that I’m sure he would be a fair person, and if he feels like he is, he’s not the kind of person who would intentionally harm or hurt anyone, and he has a very good relationship with Axel.”

He said, “Yes, he has given two big hits with her. So, if there is any reason why he is not comfortable doing this film, there could be multiple reasons. And congratulations to him that he has offered compensation for the loss and also returned the signing amount. Not many people do that.”

Ranveer had earlier decided to return his reported signing amount of Rs 10 crore for the film, which is being directed by Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment.

What is the Don 3 controversy about?

The controversy began when reports surfaced that Ranveer Singh had backed out of Don 3, with Excel Entertainment reportedly demanding compensation for pre-production expenses. This development led FWICE to issue non-cooperation directions against the actor.

However, the directive was withdrawn within a week. Dhillon said he had offered assistance through CINTAA, but was told the matter was already being considered. The family has reportedly been in touch with Excel Entertainment and with the directive now cancelled, the dispute seems to be moving towards resolution.
