What is thecha actually made of?
Thecha is a great dish for spice lovers. Thecha is a traditional Maharashtrian chutney that is usually made with green chillies, garlic and roasted peanuts, all mixed with salt. The smoky flavour of roasted peanuts when combined with the spicy flavour of green chillies makes this a great chutney. Thecha Rolls Recipe | How to make Cheesy Thecha Rolls
Thecha rolls are very easy to make. This recipe has been shared by Instagram user Pickles & Wine on Instagram. To make these rolls, first of all:
1. Preparation of the Thecha
Heat some oil in a pan. Then add green chillies and garlic cloves to it. Cook it for 4-5 minutes until the garlic and green chillies become a little soft. Then put the ingredients in a mortar and add roasted peanuts and salt over it. Using a pestle, grind the ingredients and your thecha is ready.
2. Prepare the bread
Now take 4-5 slices of bread and remove its edges. Flatten it with the help of a rolling pin. Apply a spoonful of butter on it, and add some thecha and a cheese cube on it. Secure the ends of the bread with water. Roll it. Follow the same process with the other bread as well.
3. Cook the bread rolls
Heat a pan over medium flame with some oil. Gently place the thecha rolls on it and cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides. This should take 4-5 minutes in total. Remove from the flame, cut in the middle and serve with ketchup!
