Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar expressed disappointment over the low turnout of the Kannada film industry at the inauguration of the 16th Bengaluru International Film Festival.
In this program, he addressed the members of the Kannada film industry with strong words. He said, “Moving forward, I want the members of the film Chamber and Academy to take it either as a warning or request. It is not my program; it is your program. Bhima jewelery, sponsors, are sitting there. Is only 20 of the 20 people need this cinema?”
Shivkumar also released a strict comment, stating, “If the government does not allow shooting, they cannot make a film. They cannot move forward with shooting. I also know where to tighten the nuts and bolts, please understand.”
