Vidamuyarchi, starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, was earlier scheduled to release in theaters for Pongal 2025. However, the film was later postponed, it may release by the end of January.
According to a recent post by industry insider Sridhar Pillai, trade analysts claim that the film will release on January 30, 2025. However, nothing has been confirmed yet from the manufacturer.
The film Vidamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, is a slick action thriller which is tipped to be an adaptation of the Hollywood film Breakdown. Although not confirmed, the film’s teaser revealed similarities between the two, leaving room for such interpretations.
The film is likely to depict the story of a man whose wife is kidnapped while on holiday in Azerbaijan. To get his girlfriend back, the man sets out on a mission, and fights every enemy in his path in the hopes of reuniting with his wife.
Along with AK and Trisha in lead roles, the film also stars Arjun Sarja, Aarav, Regina Cassandra and others in lead roles. The makers also unveiled the film’s first single, Savadika, composed earlier by Anirudh Ravichander, with vocals by Anthony Dasan.
Despite initially announcing a release on Pongal this year, the makers reported postponing the film due to unknown reasons.
Moving forward, Ajith Kumar is also all set to hit the theaters this year with his film Good Bad Ugly. More Ravichandran action comedy flick was recently announced to release on April 10, 2025.
On the other hand, Ajit Kumar is also preparing for his upcoming race in Dubai. The actor-racer and his team will take part in the 24H Dubai 2025 endurance race, which will take place on January 12-13.
