He never gets the love he deserves.”
Chamkila is widely considered to be one of Punjab’s most misunderstood musical talents, whose influence was felt long after her death. Dosanjh emphasized the late singer’s impact on both music and culture and expressed his gratitude for being able to portray him on screen. He said, “Chamkila was a hundred times a better actor than me and I want to thank Chamkila for giving me the opportunity to make my biopic. The best actors in the world would be sitting there and they would be talking about Chamkila and I am here for Chamkila. Even though he is gone, he is still a hit.”

She explained how the project allowed her to experience Chamkila’s emotional moments, even if briefly, adding, “I’m here for Chamkila. Chamkila gave me the chance to do her biopic, Chamkila allowed me to live her character on screen, and whatever real moments she came into her life, even if only for a few seconds, I felt them myself.”
