Prashanth Neel achieved critical success with his two back-to-back releases within a year, Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 followed by Prabhas’ Salaar. While both made impressive collections at the box office, the filmmakers are now feeling a bit disappointed with the latter, especially considering the performance of the Yash starrer.
In an interview with Caram Vashi, Prashant Neel explained why he feels a little disappointed with the efforts put in for Salaar, despite the huge success he got with Yash’s KGF Chapter 2.
However, he assured that Salaar 2 will not be similar to the first film, tagging how he plans to make the latter one of his best films.
Prashant said, “I am not completely happy. I’m a little disappointed with how much effort I put into the first part. Subconsciously, I was a little satisfied with the arrival of KGF 2. But since that happened, I decided to make Salaar 2 one of my best films.”
Let us tell you, Prabhas’ Salaar 2 has already gone on the floors, there are reports that Prashant Neel has completed the shooting to a large extent. Rightfully so, this upcoming project is being closely watched by many fans who can’t wait for its theatrical release.
Adding to this excitement, Prashanth Neel revealed that the kind of story he has written for Salaar 2 is easily considered one of his best works till date, and he feels very happy after the release of the first installment. Fully prepared to compensate for the disappointment. ,
He said, “The writing I have done in the film is probably some of my best work. I’m going to make up for it more than I can imagine and more than the audience can imagine. I’m very confident, and I’m confident about very few things in my life – Salaar 2 will unquestionably be one of my best works.”
Apart from Salaar 2, the filmmaker will also be collaborating with Yash again for KGF 3. The actor himself had earlier confirmed this during one of his media interactions, saying that the project is in the queue, but not immediately.
