Did Rajkumar Rao really make his comment under pressure amid student protests?
Actor Rajkummar Rao’s alleged, now deleted reply to a comment about the song ‘Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai’ after supporting students protesting against the alleged NEET-UG paper leak has sparked fresh debate. His mention of “pressure” led to widespread speculation, although he did not clarify what he meant.
A screenshot of an alleged Instagram comment by actor Rajkummar Rao has gone viral, putting him at the center of an online debate. The purported reply came after Rao posted in support of students protesting against the NEET-UG paper leak, which included the line, “You can never know the pressure.” While many interpreted the comment as a reference to his appearance last year If Modi is there then it is possible Geet, Rao has not commented on the screenshot, nor has his team confirmed its authenticity.

The discussion started when Rao shared a post calling for peace, dialogue and compassion while supporting the ongoing student protests in New Delhi. Responding to the post, an Instagram user questioned the actor over his participation in the pro-government song, which also featured several other Bollywood celebrities.
The user, @om.ar510, wrote, “I had so much respect for you… you lost it with a promotional song!!! I never missed any of your movies, never thought you would sell out so easily, you were supposed to lead the new generation of artistes… instead (sic)!!!”
Soon after, screenshots claiming to show Rao’s reply began circulating widely on social media. According to viral pictures Woman The actor replied, “I can never sell my soul brother. The phrase “You never know the pressure” quickly became the focus of online discussion, with many users speculating that Rao was referring to the pressure of taking part in If Modi is there then it is possible Song.
However, he has neither addressed the viral screenshot nor clarified what he meant by this comment.

In his original post on the student protests, Rao urged both students and authorities to respond with empathy rather than confrontation and said a fair education system is essential for the country’s progress.
He wrote, “When young people feel unheard, it is a reminder that society must listen. Every voice must be heard with dignity, fairness, and respect. At the same time, peace must remain our greatest strength. Violence, from any side, only deepens wounds and moves us away from meaningful solutions. This is a moment for dialogue and compassion.”
He further said, “Let students express themselves responsibly. Let officials respond with empathy, openness and a genuine willingness to listen. Real and lasting change is created through dialogue, not confrontation. It is needed now – more than ever. We all collectively want one thing: growth for our nation, and the foundation of that growth is fair education. Jai Hind.”

India Today contacted Rao’s team to verify whether the viral screenshots were genuine and whether the actor had posted and later deleted the comment. The team did not confirm or deny its authenticity, saying they would get back with a response.
The discussion about Rao came amid increased public attention on the NEET-UG paper leak and the protests that followed. Earlier this week, Delhi Police clashed with thousands of students and supporters who had gathered in the national capital following the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) ‘Chalo Sansad’ march demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over paper leaks and other alleged irregularities in the examination system.
Many film personalities including Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Varun Dhawan, Madhavan, Sonakshi Sinha, Naseeruddin Shah and Imran Khan have also expressed support for the students by appealing for peace.
