Salman Khan and Dia Mirza have shared a warm relationship over the years and the actress has often shared her admiration for him. Recently, she recalled a funny incident from the sets of her film Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, when Salman Khan gave the example of an actress and told Dia that she could play his on-screen mother one day, which She was both surprised and happy.
In an interview with Connect Cine, Dia Mirza recalled a funny instance while shooting with Rajpal Yadav, known for his impeccable comic timing, and Salman Khan in Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, when she and Salman had a Had an interesting conversation. Mirza mentioned another actress who was playing Salman’s on-screen mother in the film and was waiting for her scene.
In the middle of shooting her scene, she remembered that the Tiger 3 actor had casually struck up a conversation with her and said, referring to another actress, “Do you know, at one time, this woman who is now my mother’s Is my heroine playing a role?”
The statement shocked the Sanju actress, who was stunned by his revelation. Mirza said she questioned him about it again and the actor said, “Yes, she was my lead actress in one of my early films.”
Dia immediately noted that if the actress had acted in front of her, she would have been Salman’s age and she would not have been able to understand what he said. As a result, Khan, who is known for his wit and humor, made a great comeback and said, “Yes, and one day, you will play my mother.”
The actress admitted that she found his statement ridiculous, but that she was shocked and wished that such a day would never come. She laughed at this and said, “I was surprised by that.”
Dia Mirza recalled that she was a big fan of the superstar and when she got the chance to work with him, she could not believe it for a long time. But, she also found him to be a ‘caring’ and ‘protective’ co-star.
