Dhurandhar Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh’s film crosses 770 crore mark in 6 weeks with another weekly record

Dhurandhar collected Rs. It grossed around Rs 25 crore in its sixth week at the Indian box office. The decline from week five was 44 percent, which is a great hold. The holding was helped by the Sankranti holidays as the film did well on weekdays, especially the last two days. The sixth week is once again a record for Hindi films, surpassing the previous record by almost 50 percent. The Ranveer Singh starrer has held all the weekly records except the first one.

The total box office collection of Dhurandhar is Rs. About Rs 770 crore nett. The film made around Rs. Is moving towards ending around. 790 crore nett. Although it can still reach Rs. 800 crore nett, it will have a very strong requirement in the seventh week for more than Rs. Earning of Rs 15 crores and then the earnings will continue even after the release of Border 2 next week. The former can be done, but the latter will be a little harder, though not impossible.

Regardless of where it ultimately lands, Dhurandhar is already the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. It is close to 3.50 crore viewers, which would make it the first Bollywood film since Dangal to reach that level, considering the Hindi version alone (Jawaan has done so in all versions). At one time beating Dangal seemed like a possibility, but not anymore. Having said that, it should be noted that the box office is down from the better days of the 2010s. Although the decline seems less for big films because their films have longer runs due to less competition these days, but it does happen. Additionally, there are places where storage is not happening like before. In that context, the viewership, though less than Dangal, is probably at the same level, maybe even better.

Then the question is whether the film should be classified as an all-time blockbuster. It would have been easier if it had been above Rs. 800 crore nett benchmark, but still there are some other caveats, like the footfall is not up to that level, and this number includes a significant amount of feeding in the first week. A more detailed note addressing this classification will be issued in the coming days.
