Gautham Vasudev Menon’s detective thriller Dhruva Natchathram is waiting for his dramatic release for many years. Chian Vikram starrer has faced several delays since its original release in August 2017. However, in an interview recently, the director assured that the film would hit theaters in a few months, as most of the obstacles are now overcome.
Amid growing excitement among fans, a new report by the inner inner source of the industry, Valai Pichu, claims that the Chian Vikram starrer is set to release in theaters on May 1, 2025.
However, these remain only rumors for now, as there is no official confirmation from the manufacturers or directors themselves.
For Anward, Dhruv Nachthiram was initially declared in the lead role with Suria. However, due to creative differences, the filmmaker had to give shelter to the project. It was later revived in 2015, in which Chian Vikram played the lead role.
Back in January 2025, Gautham Vasudev Menon spoke about his ongoing alone fight for the release of Dhruv Nachthiram, in an interview with YouTuber Madan Gauri.
The filmmaker insisted that it continues only firmly due to unwavering discussion and expectations around the dramatic release of the film.
He talked about the immense pressure that was endured alone for the film, saying that none of the industry proceeded to offer help or support, when Dhruva Natchthiram faced release issues.
He said, “When Dhruv Nechathram faced the issues of release, hardly anyone in the industry asked to inquire what happened. Nobody disturbed. This is not a Bonomi industry. Even when a film is successful, people just conspiracy and are not happy. ,
