Dhanush meets the director of the tourist family, Abation, says that he knew that it would work
Debut director Abation Jeevinth has received a lot of appreciation for his film ‘Tourist Family’, with Sasikumar and Simran. The latest ‘Ryan’ is actor Dhanush to join the list.
Dhanush is the latest celebrity to praise the Tamil blockbuster ‘Tourist Family’. Directed by the newcomer Abation Jeevintha, the film hit theaters on 1 May and quickly became a hit with both the audience and the famous celebrities. Despite the strong competition from Suriya’s ‘Retro’ and other release of Nani’s ‘Hit 3’, the film managed to draw an impressive number and catch its land at the box office.
Abation Jeevinth recently shared a hearty post on X about meeting Dhanush. He wrote, “Today I got the privilege of meeting @dhanushkraja sir! Thank you very much for the encouragement, Sir – it really means a lot to us!”
Earlier, superstar Rajinikanth also personally reached the young director. Abation shared a clear image of himself with a big smile over the phone with the ‘Coolie’ actor. Legend of the industry allegedly called the film “Super, Super, Super and Extraordinary (SIC).” Abation wrote, “Could not believe that this phone call was actually happened. A special call was received from the Super Human (SIC).”
The ‘Tourist Family’, which was included in the lead, was produced by Nazerth Pasilian and others. It also includes Mithun Jai Shankar, Alango Kumarwell, Yogi Babu, Kamlesh and supporting roles. Many other big names including Prabhu and Shivkartikeyan also gave their support and heartfelt greetings to the team.
Made on a budget of Rs 16 crore, the film became a box office hit after a total collection of around Rs 43.15 (NET). After a successful run in theaters, the emotional Tamil drama ‘Tourist Family’ is set to release on OTT. According to reports, the film will be streaming on Gehotstar from May 31, 2025.
