Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devraa: Part 1 has created a lot of buzz ever since its first glimpse was revealed. The RRR actors are currently busy with the shooting schedule of the upcoming thriller as the makers have now decided to release the film earlier than before.
Now, in a recent update, renowned cinematographer Rathnavelu has shared his experience while shooting an action sequence for Devraa: Part 1. Check it out!
Cinematographer Rathnavelu explains Devara’s action scenes
On 15 June, Rathnavelu shared two photos from the sets of Devraa: Part 1 on his social media platform X, revealing about shooting an ‘interesting’ intense action sequence in Goa.
He wrote, “Shot an interesting action sequence in the jungles of Goa with @tarak9999 and #SaifAlikhan despite heavy rains and bad weather. Thanks to my amazing camera crew, light crew, stunt crew and Team Devra for the support.”
Soon after Rathnavelu’s post came online, fans took to the comments section and praised Team Devra’s efforts. “God of fear in the jungle. Congratulations to Team #Devra for all the brilliant efforts,” wrote a user. Another wrote, “Looks like this will be a career best work for @RathnaveluDop sir.”

Devraa: Part 1, starring Jr NTR in the lead role, is touted to be an action drama set against the backdrop of coastal areas. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film features Saif Ali Khan playing the main antagonist, which is the first film in a two-part series.
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narayan and many others in important roles. Devara was financed by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, while Anirudh Ravichander handled the soundtrack recording.
The cinematographer of the film is R Ratnavelu, while the editor is A Sreekar Prasad. The film was scheduled to release on 10 October 2024 on the occasion of Dussehra, but now it will hit the theaters on 27 September 2024.
