Russia is developing a “privileged strategic partnership” with India, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov said on Monday.
Lavarov said in an incident that Russia is actively expanding relations with countries such as China, India, Iran, North Korea and the Commonwealth (CIS) countries (CIS) countries (CIS) countries, the state -run Tass news agency stated on Monday.
In a meeting in the trustee board of Alexander Gorachkov Public Diplomacy Fund, he said, “We promote relations with the majority of global states.”
The top Russian diplomat said, “Mutual Trust has an unprecedented level in relations with widespread partnership and strategic cooperation with the People’s Republic of China. Especially privileged strategic partnership is developing with India,” said the top Russian diplomat.
Lavarov said that there has been serious progress to expand and deepen friendly relations with states like Iran and North Korea.
The Moscow CIS member states special emphasis on strengthening all areas of cooperation with colleagues and partners, including the Commonwealth structure, along with the collective safety treaty organization and the Eurasian Economic Union, Lavrov said.
On the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day in January, in congratulating President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Putin said that the Russian-Indian relations are based on “special and privileged strategic partnership”.
President Putin is expected to visit India this year as part of the established structure for mutual annual busyness between two nations leaders.
Putin and PM Modi maintain regular contacts, every two months telephone talks. The two leaders also held the meetings of the individual, especially on the occasion of international events.
Last July, Prime Minister Modi traveled a two-day visit to Moscow to attend the 22nd Russia-India Summit. In October, he visited the Russian city of Kazan for the BRICS summit.
