The film, directed by H Vinoth, is set for a grand release in theaters on July 23 after a delay of seven months due to certification issues.

Tamil Nadu has emerged as the biggest market for the film, contributing Rs 4.87 crore, almost half of the total advance booking revenue. Karnataka came second with Rs 3.04 crore, boosted by Bengaluru’s unprecedented response, while Kerala added Rs 1.69 crore.

Among cities, Bengaluru took the lead with pre-sales worth Rs 3.01 crore, which is almost 30 per cent of nationwide pre-sales. Chennai has recorded Rs 1.18 crore with an impressive occupancy of over 86 per cent, while Coimbatore has contributed Rs 67.16 lakh. Hyderabad, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi have also posted encouraging numbers ahead of the film’s release.

Not surprisingly, the Tamil version dominated the bookings, contributing Rs 10.17 crore or 96 percent of the total pre-sales. The Telugu version has grossed Rs 42.21 lakh, while the Hindi release has seen only marginal contributions so far. Standard 2D screening accounts for almost the entire advance booking.

Impressive advance sales follow Jan Naygan Its release was delayed by approximately seven months due to certification hurdles. Originally scheduled to release on Pongal, the film was pushed forward by nearly seven months after legal hurdles and a long wait. Having received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the KVN Productions-backed film is expected to be one of the biggest openings of the year for Tamil cinema.

This comes despite the film’s high-definition HD leak in April, which has caused widespread concern among fans and producers.

Directed by H Vinoth, Jan Naygan It stars Vijay along with Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamita Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Narayan and Nassar. The film is expected to be Vijay’s last acting venture as he turns his focus to politics full-time, raising expectations surrounding its theatrical release.
