Actor Deepika Padukone can only return on-screen with Shah Rukh Khan in her upcoming film ‘King’. There was speculation for some time about Suhana Khan’s involvement in a big Bollywood debut, directed by Siddharth Anand. However, it seems that he has finally given his dates for shooting.

A report in Pinkvilla Suggested that Padukone’s dates matched the shooting schedule of the film. “Shah Rukh Khan was always clear for Deepika Padukone on ‘Raja’. Initially, did not match the dates because Deepika was taking time out to live with the newborn, and killing the gym to return to size.

The report also mentions that Deepika Padukone’s role in the film is not just a blink-end-miss appearance. The actor is not building a cameo in ‘King’ as stated earlier, but is a ‘role of full-length’.

A source close to the production also said, “After all the discussions and after setting the shoot timeline, everything has aligned Deepika Padukone well on the film.”

The actor is expected to start shooting for his performance in the second half of the year, while the film is ready for a grand release in the second half of 2026. “She will shoot for her role in the second half of 2025. It is a full -length role, and as much more than a cameo,” the source said.

This is the fifth time when Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone will be seen together on-screen. After their first pair with ‘Om Shanti Om’ in Bollywood, both have worked together in films like ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawan’.

‘King’ also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Jaideep Ahlawat in important roles.
