Actress Debby Ryan has welcomed her first child with husband Josh Dun. The couple announced the birth of their baby girl, Felix Winter Dunn, via an Instagram post shared on Saturday, December 13. Ryan revealed she gave birth earlier this month in an intimate home surrounded by festive lights and winter scenes.
Debby Ryan shared the first public photos of her newborn as well as a private video from the birthing tub. One image shows Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun holding his baby, while others capture quiet moments from the day Felix was born.
In his caption, Ryan wrote, “We sat under the full moon – the cold supermoon – and remembered our life as a family of two, and told the baby I was carrying that we were ready to be three. By noon, Felix was born under the snow outside our bedroom window in the light of Christmas lights, in his father’s hands.”
The actress praised her husband, calling him “an incredible partner” and thanked her birth team and the women who supported her during her pregnancy. Ryan also shared heartfelt things about her daughter, whom she affectionately calls “Lil Moonbeam.” He wrote, “Her hair is made of silk and her breath smells like vanilla ice cream and every chirp, squeak and whisper is music.” “I’ve been a lot of things but her home, a growing light, a door to bring a new soul into the world – these are the greatest honors I can have.”

In an Instagram carousel, Ryan offered highlights from the home birth. One clip showed her sitting in an inflatable birthing pool as Dunn consoled her. A Christmas tree was glowing in the background, with snow visible through its window. Other photos show Felix resting on Ryan’s chest, bonding with his father, and sleeping peacefully in a crib near a tree.
Fans and celebrities immediately flooded the comments with congratulations. January Jones wrote, “Congratulations!!” While Twenty One Pilots frontman Tyler Joseph commented, “You did it.” Janet McCurdy simply wrote, “Felix.”
Ryan and Dunn married on December 31, 2019, after a year of engagement. Ryan rose to fame on the Disney Channel shows Jessie and The Suite Life on Deck. In 2024, she appeared in American Horror Stories and Turtles All the Way Down. She is set to star alongside Zac Efron in the cult and sci-fi thriller Orion.
Josh Dun and Twenty One Pilots are also finding career success. The band recently earned their 13th No. 1 on the Alternative Airplay chart with City Walls. Their latest album, Breach, debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
