Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, August 12, reveal that Ava and Stefan are determined not to let Connie control them about the secret they’re hiding. Ava and Stefan had a relationship while Gabi was in prison, and they want to keep it a secret.
They discuss their secret in the office, unaware that Connie is listening. Now, they worry that Connie might tell everything. Feeling guilty about their actions, they decide to stop feeling bad.
Meanwhile, Leo is convinced that he is Marlena’s favorite patient. He feels special because he can see her whenever he wants. When Leo meets Hattie, who finds him amusing, he feels it is only natural that Marlena will love him even more now.
Kate has a new project: a revival of the show Body and Soul in Salem, in which her friends and family members will play characters like her. But the process is more difficult than she expected, leaving her frustrated. She vents to her husband, Roman, who has to listen to her.
Bonnie is excited about the idea of Hattie becoming a soap star. Johnny is an aspiring filmmaker, and Kate and Abe’s project could be the big break they’ve been waiting for. If Bonnie and Johnny work together, they may get what they want.

Earlier on Days of Our Lives, Stephanie visits Alex at his apartment as he unpacks his stuff. They talk about their problems, and Alex hopes Theresa doesn’t get any special treatment because of her connections. Stephanie reveals that Andrew told her Theresa got a six-month sentence in Statesville prison.
Alex is disappointed, feeling that six months is too short for the way she ruined his life. Stephanie regrets that she didn’t know what her cousin was doing and wishes she could have stopped her from hurting Alex.
In her office, Jada shows Paulina a suicide note from Everett. As Jada reads it, she begins to feel something isn’t right, but she isn’t sure if she can trust her intuition since the matter is so personal. Paulina worries that she has put too much pressure on Jada.
Jada admits she wanted justice, but now she thinks she just wants someone to blame, possibly herself. She cries as she remembers what Everett told her about stabbing Rafe right before he committed suicide.
In the Square, Connie overheard Chanel and Johnny talking about the “crazy person” who stabbed Rafe. Connie asked them to stop, saying that Everett had a severe mental illness and that his words were inhumane.
While Chanel agrees that he should have been more careful with his words, Johnny argues that anyone who would try to kill an innocent person should be harassed. Connie agrees that Rafe didn’t deserve what happened and hopes he gets well soon.
Later, Ava gives Gabi flowers at the Titan offices, and Gabi reads Stefan’s card. They clear up past misunderstandings, and Gabi expresses her desire to move on.
Kristen realizes that Stefan is feeling guilty and wants to confess to Gabi about sleeping with Ava. Kristen advises him not to do so, but Stefan is determined to follow his instincts.
While Alex and Stephanie were cleaning up after breaking Theresa’s old plates, Jada asked Stephanie to come to the station to sign her witness statement, officially closing the case. Connie later suggested to Gabby that Stefan may have cheated on her, making Gabby suspicious.
