David Dhawan defends Govinda on arriving late: He completes his work and leaves
Director David Dhawan defends Bollywood star Govinda for arriving late on the set. Dhawan recalled his working experience with the actor and praised his work ethic.

Director David Dhawan discusses the news of actor Govinda arriving late to the film sets which has been in the news. Dhawan, who worked with Govinda in several hit films in the nineties and 2000s, recalled his experience with the actor and praised him for his dedication and honesty on the sets.
at the end of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4David clarified the allegations of Govinda’s lack of punctuality. He said, “Here I want to tell you, People say who comes late on the set, who comes late today? He comes, finishes his work and goes away (People say he comes late to the set, but tell me who doesn’t come late these days? He comes, completes his work and then leaves).”

74-year-old Dhawan recalled a special moment from his 2007 film, partnerWhen Govinda completed a four page scene. After a quick review, the actor nailed the performance in a single take, giving Dhawan the freedom to cut the footage as he saw fit. He was amazed by Govinda’s remarkable skill and physical agility throughout the sequence.
“And you wouldn’t believe it. He would come over and ask for his scene. It would be a four-page scene. He would go through it all while I was setting up the shot. He said, ‘Don’t set it up right now. Do one thing. This is the scene. Watch me perform it. I’ll do it in one take.’ partner. He did all kinds of acrobatics in that scene; you can not imagine. Then he asked me to edit the scene as per my wish. Incredible. “Govinda is incredible,” he said.
