Director David Dhawan reacts to his actor-son Varun Dhawan being trolled during promotions border 2 (2026). He also explained how the negativity on social media stopped after the box office success border 2.

David, in an interview with pinkvillaReflecting on how Varun dealt with his fair share of trolling. He said, “But what happened? everything went upside down! (But what happened? Everything turned upside down)!”

David praised Varun’s growth as an actor and said that he is “on the right track”. He also praised his son’s humility towards the people around him.

“Definitely, he has improved and is on the right track. And he knows the value of his work. (And he knows the value of his work.) He respects the people around him. He is very careful and tries to give his best,” said the director.

Varun Dhawan talked about trolling before the release of his much-awaited film border 2.

After the release of the film’s song Ghar Kab Aaoge, an Instagram user wrote, “Brother, people are raising questions on your acting, what will they say about it? (People are questioning your acting skills. What would you like to say to them?)

Responding to the user, Varun said, “This question made the song a hit. Everyone is enjoying. God bless me. (This question made the song go viral. Everyone is having a good time. God is great).”

David directs Varun in upcoming comedy-drama If you are young then you have to fall in loveIn which actors Mrunal Thakur, Pooja Hegde and others are in lead roles.

The film is set for theatrical release on May 22, 2026.
