Daughter was asked for gambling during video games: Akshay Kumar remembered cyber horror
Akshay Kumar recalled an incident when his daughter was asked to send nude photos a few months ago while playing video games. He recently urged the mandatory cyber period in schools in a program.
In a powerful appeal at a public event in Mumbai on Friday, actor Akshay Kumar urged the Chief Minister of Maharashtra to start a weekly “cyber period” for students in 7 to 10 classes. The actor narrated a crisible personal incident to highlight the increasing threat of cybercrime, which believes that he now crosses traditional road crime.
During the inauguration ceremony of Cyber Awareness Month 2025 at the State Police Headquarters, Akshay Kumar shared a shocking incident to share a dangerous incident to his daughter. He recalled how, a few months ago, his daughter was playing an online video game when a stranger messaged her, asked for her gender. He then replied “The woman,” stranger immediately requested for nude photos. His daughter immediately stopped the game and informed her mother, but the incident served as a clear text.
Emphasizing that such exchanges are a common entry point in cybercrime, Kumar stressed that there is an immediate need to educate children how to protect themselves from online predators and dangers. The purpose of their argument for a compulsory “cyber period” is to equip the next generation with the knowledge required to safely navigate the digital world.
“I want to tell you a small incident that happened at my house a few months ago. My daughter was playing a video game, and there are some video games you can play with someone. You are playing with an unknown stranger,” Akshay said.
“When you are playing, sometimes a message comes from there … then a message came, are you a man or woman? So she replied to the woman. And then she sent a message to the woman. Can you send me her naked pictures? It was my daughter. She was my daughter. She had the whole thing and she talked completely and she went away and told my wife.
Akshay was last seen in ‘Jolly LLB 3’, which featured actors Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Gajendra Rao, Ram Kapoor and others.
