Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa on October 30 secured interim bail under medical emergency in the murder case of his 33-year-old fan Renukaswamy. The former actor reportedly underwent spine surgery at a private hospital in Bengaluru. Amidst the six-week bail period, the accused is now in fresh trouble as lawyer Jagadish, a famous television personality of BB Kannada fame, has filed a complaint against him for threatening him.
According to Asianet report, Jagadish and his family have received death threats from Darshan as well as his fans. According to their complaint lodged at Kodigehalli police station, Darshan’s fans have specifically named Jagadeesh for speaking against the actor and have threatened him and his family with death more than 1000 times.
Jagadish has openly accused the Kannada actor of being directly behind such threats made by his fans while being away from the network.
As a result, the evicted BB Kannada contestant has now urged for his and his family’s safety, given that Darshan is currently out of jail and on his bail period. He urged that immediate action be taken against the murder accused for tampering with the security of him and his family members.
Amid reports of spine surgery, on November 1, 2024, Darshan Thoogudeepa visited his wife and children at their home after coming out of jail on bail.
Upon his release from Bellary jail, the actor used a car to go to his wife’s house in RR Nagar, where he attended his son’s birthday celebrations. According to One India report, his wife was waiting for him outside the house, as she had prayed for his release from the very first day and visited every temple for it.
Let us tell you, the Karnataka High Court granted bail to Darshan only for a period of six weeks and even imposed severe restrictions on his movement. His interim bail is based on a bond of Rs. 2 lakhs and further on submission of two sureties and his passport.
