Kebabs and rolls are staple orders for many foodies on delivery apps. Their convenience, versatility, scope for customisation and standard level of deliciousness are among the reasons for their popularity. When we heard that Lucknowi (one of Impresario’s cloud kitchen brands) has revamped its menu to offer more such dishes, we were curious to know how they turned out. Recently we got a chance to taste some of its signature dishes in Mumbai. Read our full review below:
In vegetarian appetizers, we enjoyed this Achari Paneer TikkaIt came as a generous portion of juicy yellow triangles. The spiciness of the achari flavour was well balanced, allowing the paneer to shine through as well. In the non-vegetarian starters, we had to start with a classic mutton kebab: Galouti Kabab with Ulta Tawa ParathaThe first two bites won our hearts. The Lucknowi flavours perfectly captured the complex aromas of the spices and the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of the meat. When paired with Nawabi parathas, this is a royal dish.
After this, we tried Lucknow’s special rolls, which also includes this type of paratha. We especially liked the chilli and mint paratha. Chakori Murgh Tikka Roll. The Butter Chicken Tikka Roll Captured the flavour of the beloved dish without overwhelming you with gravy. In both cases, we appreciated the smoky aroma of the tikka and the tenderness of the meat (which is a sign of a good marination). For vegetarians, we recommend this Hara Bhara Kabab Roll Which we found delicious and nutritious at the same time. The rolls come with green chutney and a unique yellow chilli chutney.
We were all impressed with the size and texture of the rolls. The use of the Ulta Tawa Paratha – instead of the regular Roti/Naan/Laccha Paratha options – makes them different for a few reasons. Firstly, it complements the rich aroma of the stuffing. Secondly, the texture of the paratha was soft flaky yet solid and did not become hard to chew even after some time. Given that these dishes are only available via delivery, the latter was especially important. We can easily see ourselves ordering these for office lunches or a hassle-free dinner at home.

Lucknow has a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian main dishes available. We enjoyed it Bhuna Gosht BiryaniWhich provides layers of delicious flavor with every bite. It had many characteristics of a crowd favorite biryani, making it a great option for a party. If you are craving something sweet, know that dessert is not a must at this cloud kitchen. Although there are limited options, what we tasted was too delicious to resist. We were happy to know that Pineapple Pudding This was even better than a simple sheera. Due to the use of mawa, its consistency was closer to a festive sweet like barfi. Firni It’s a reliable choice, and there were no complaints from our side. As proven from the start of our meal, Lucknowis have a good understanding of the classics.

We found that cloud kitchens do not use plastic packaging. Most of our dishes were packed thoughtfully and did not spoil even after a long journey.
Lucknowi is currently available for home delivery at select locations in Mumbai (around Lower Parel, Khar, Versova and Powai) and Bengaluru (around Sarjapur, New BEL Road, Hebbal, Koramangala and Indiranagar) via online platforms DotPe, Zomato and Swiggy between 11 am and midnight. Our food was from the Khar kitchen.
