Cooli actor Saubin Shahir denied approval to participate in an event in Dubai due to Manjumale Boys Fraud case

Saubin Shahir is currently enjoying the success of Cool, starring Rajinikanth directed by Lokesh Canagraj. However, actor-Filmekar has now found himself at the center of a dispute, which is due to a case associated with Manjumale boys.

Why was Saubin Shahir deprived of permission to travel to Dubai?

According to several reports, including a several reports by Manorama Online, Saubin Shahir was denied entry into Dubai due to his participation in the fraud case. The actor’s legal team contacted the Ernakulam Magistrate Court to seek permission to travel on September 5, 2025 to participate in the Siyama Award event in UAE.

Saubin’s lawyers argued that his presence at the award ceremony in Dubai would be an honor for the Malayalam film industry. He further said that he would return to India soon after the incident. Despite the pleas, the court rejected the request.

Saubin Shahir’s case of fraud

Sobin Shahir was arrested by the first Kochi police in July 2025. He was released on bail on the same day and was later allowed to travel.

The arrest was based on a complaint filed by Siraj Valiathra Hameed, a resident of Arur, Kerala. The complaint alleged that with the actor-producer, producer Babu Shahir and Parva’s Sean Antony, promise 40 percent profit shares if Siraj invested Rs 7 crore in Manjumale Boyz. Despite the film becoming a blockbuster, Siraj claimed that he was not paid his share of profits.

However, the manufacturers denied the claims, saying that Siraj had failed to provide timely investment amounts, which reportedly led to delays and disruptions in the shooting schedule of the film.

Saubin Shahir’s recent film

Saubin Shahir was recently seen in the film Cool, in which Rajinikanth said in the lead role. Directed by Lokesh Kanagarj, the film discovered the story of Dava, a former daily wage worker, who is ready to avenge the killing of his best friend.

While Nagarjuna Akini played the role of the chief opposition, Saubin Shahir also played the role of a villain. Apart from him, the film included Shruti Haasan, Upendra Rao, Satyaraj and others in decisive roles.
