Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest offering ‘Coulie’ made an unprecedented inauguration at the box office. Lokesh Kanagarj-Director witnessed houseful shows worldwide for the first four days. Since the film is moving towards a net of 200 crores at the domestic box office, someone has to see how it is working at the box office during the week. Reports show that the film has grossed Rs 400 crore globally during the early weekends.

On August 14, a day before Independence Day, ‘Cool’ hit theaters, and made a demonic inauguration at the box office. However, since Friday (August 15), this number has been observing a gradual decline. However, the film is crossing 30 crores every day. On its first Sunday, the film grossed around Rs 35 crore in India. According to tracking website Sacnilk, day 3 collection is slightly higher than day 4 numbers.

In an X post, trade analyst Ramesh Bala claimed that the first weekend collection of ‘Coolie’ is around Rs 410 crore worldwide. However, an official confirmation from the production house is still waiting.

  • Day 1: 65 crores
  • Day 2: 54.75 crores
  • Day 3: 39.5 crores
  • Day 4: 35 crores
  • Total: 194.25 crores

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja, ‘Cooli’ is produced on a large scale by Sun Pictures. Superstars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Satyaraj, Charlie and many others are part of the contingent of artists. Commercial recreational is receiving mixed reviews equally from critics and audiences.

Kannada superstar Upendra, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and actor Pooja Hegde appeared in Camos in the film. Music composer Anirudh Ravichender, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj are part of the technical crew.
