Complaint against Vijay Devarakonda to compare Pahgam with tribal clashes

A police complaint has been filed against actor Vijay Devarakonda on alleged derogatory remarks against tribal communities. According to Telangana Today, Hyderabad lawyer Lal Chauhan filed a case based on the comments made at Suraya’s ‘Retro’ pre-relief event.
According to the report, a complaint filed at SR Nagar Police Station on Thursday alleged that during his speech on the Pahalgam terror attack, the ‘Geeta Govindam’ actor compared the incident of centuries -old struggles among tribal communities.
The tribal associations have demanded an immediate apology from the actor.

Chauhan said, “It’s not just a free speech – it is about the respect and constitutional protection of the marginalized communities. We demand immediate legal action against the actor under SC/ST atrocities laws.”
In this incident, the actor talked about the tragic initiative incident in Kashmir, stating, “The solution to what is happening in Kashmir is also to educate them (terrorist) and to ensure that they are not brainwash. What they will achieve?
The actor has not yet reacted to the complaint.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will be seen in the ‘Kingdom’. It has been slated to release on May 30, 2025.
