Chief Minister Vijay and actor Trisha Krishnan visited fellow actor Ajith Kumar’s mother Mohini Mani at her residence in Chennai late night on Saturday after her demise. Both the actors were seen meeting and hugging Ajith and personally expressed their condolences to the grieving family.

The video circulated on social media shows Vijay arriving at Ajit Kumar’s residence amid tight security. In a clip, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and newly elected Tamil Nadu CM was seen hugging Ajith before entering the house and spending time with the bereaved family.

Trisha was also seen wearing a black salwar suit at the residence, paid tribute to him and expressed condolences. During the visit, several scenes showed her greeting and hugging Ajith.

The trip comes amid growing speculation about their relationship, especially at a time when divorce proceedings are underway between Vijay and wife Sangeeta.

Ajit Kumar’s mother Mohini Mani dies at the age of 85

Actor Ajith’s mother Mohini Mani passed away on Saturday morning in Chennai at the age of 85. Her death came almost three years after the death of her husband P Subramaniam. The family said he died peacefully in his sleep after declining health and said his last rites would be performed privately.

The funeral will take place on Sunday, May 31.
