Actor-turned-politician Vijay received congratulatory messages from several film personalities after the vote counting trends in Tamil Nadu showed his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), leading on nearly 108 seats and registering the highest vote share in its maiden election.

As the counting trends came in, social media was flooded with messages for Vijay, with actors and filmmakers from the southern film industry reacting to TVK’s strong performance.

Superstar Rajinikanth congratulated Vijay and his party members on their victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. His X post read, “My congratulations to victorious Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam President Thiru Vijay and his party members on their landslide victory in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Congratulating Vijay, Chiranjeevi said, “Dear @actorvijay, hearty congratulations on this excellent and well-deserved victory in your first election.
